Utah Road Trip
Hello on day 4 of our Utah trip! After an easy drive here from Tahoe, we are staying in Park City at the cutest condo with six of us total. Skied Park City, Snowbasin, Alta & Deer Valley today. All the resorts have been great, but we are anxiously awaiting some new snow. We keep hearing about the storms at home in Tahoe, but it's nice to have a change of scenery and the company couldn't be better! Hopefully I'll send a powder photo soon!
K2 Women's Weekend Taos
Adriana and I just had our women's weekend here in Taos. About half of the women attended the weekend last year. It was great that we had ladies returning and it was a lot of fun...despite the fact that we didn't get dumped on like we did last year during the event. Instead it was nice, sunny, and warm.
North Cascade Heli

Just got home from an epic trip to the North Cascades. Located only 70 miles before the Canadian border, we're lucky to have this little gem in the states. I was there with Dakine, Freeskier, and the Nimbus Independent film crew (be sure to check out their webisodes at www.nimbusindependent.com).
With only 4 days booked to fly, we were hanging out heads out there a bit to make things happen. The first two days were quickly botched due to fog and wind. The third day we didn't even fly. And the fourth day looked like the worse day yet. The wind was howling and the snow was falling. People were leaving town not thinking there was a chance that we would make it out.
Then the phone rang..."Suit up" said the voice on the other end. It was on. We all struggled to unpack out bags from the thought of leaving and hurried over to the heli barn. Pollard and Ike were in a heated battle of ping pong when we showed up.
"Put the paddles down...beacon check, let's go!" Things are often rushed in times like these, but for good reason as you can see in the shot below...there was powder to be skied and sun to be absorbed. So on our last day, we made it happen and all walked away with smiles on our faces. Thanks to Dakine, Randy Torcom, and North Cascade Heli Op. for making this happen.
Girls in the park
Chicago Winter Festival went off last weekend with a rail jam set up in Grant Park. Raging Buffalo a local snowboard park in one of the Chicago Suburbs put on the event that brought in about 50 contestants, a mix of skiers and boarders. Only 5 of which were girls and none of which were female skiers. I'm not a park rider by any means but I would like to see more female skiers throwing down, especially in such an amazing venue as this! Also, check out K2 Skates: The chase is on... At least in Barcelona.
