Winter Has Arrived at TSV
Taos just received 18 inches of new snow in like 30 hours! Right now it is 6 degrees outside. Yipes. Winter is here and I am pretty sure she rode her broom to get here!

K2 Charlie chows at Love Feast
K2 Charlie has entered New York for several stops and the most anticipated one of them all was the annual Love Feast in Elicottville. After few quick stops and some minor repairs we headed out to western New York to investigate this "Love Feast". Turns out The City Garage, a local shop in Ellicotville, prefers to have their K2 clinic in the local watering hole and invite all their friends to kick off the season. Proving that Ellicotville is one of New York's true mountain towns and not just an exit off the thru-way.
Our First Stop in NY was Pedigree ski shop for their 30th annual Columbus Day sale. 3 hours and $5 in meter fees Charlie was full submersed in the New York State of Mind.
I had a chance to stop at home and thought bringing Charlie in to get checked out by a trusted mechanic wasn't a bad idea. After a quick inspection we discovered Charlie's exhaust had rattled apart and needed some welding.
The City Garage was well prepared for our arrival with a banner welcoming Charlie. Ellicotville is a small town so anyone who didn't get a glimpse of Charlie will surely hear about his Ellicotville stop within 24 hours.
Look what I found! The true do it all, extreme anything ski. Only available in New York! Actually, you can find them on the interweb and your local ski shop as well.

If your wondering what or who everyone is looking at it's the bar and pool table in the next room. At the conclusion of the clinic Kwong battled everyone in pool for a chance to win a K2/PBR hoodie. In the end Kwong was victorious but let a few hoodies go for good measure
New York is not known for its deep snow and big mountains, trust me i'm from here. But let it be know that the skiers still value the same things all skiers do, snow and partying. Thanks to everyone at City Garage and an extra special thanks to Jimmy for preventing potential carbon monoxide poisining.

Hey Everybody
As you probably know by now, BMW - the well-known German car company and K2 are starting the new season with joined forces. Part of this cooperation is a limited version of the Coomback – the LTD. BMW X1 Edition Ski– there are only 500 of them and the only way to get hold of them is through raffles. (www.bmw.com)
End of June we were part of the TVcommercial shoot for the new BMW X1 in Austria. Mike Hauser and I were supposed to jump a road gap with the X1 passing underneath, so perfect timing was key, but the first 3 days we only had bad weather, rain and wind. It was pretty crazy seeing all the efforts that are put into such a shoot, especially when the car itself is still “secret” to the public and anytime someone drove passed, security had to cover the car.
Since conditions were really sketchy the shoot was postponed for some days, nevertheless we got some nice shots from the training sessions on the bad days.

At the end everything worked out and we got some nice shots, and my old-school backflip won on the cutting table…. "how cool is an up side down with an X" - the camera guys said!! hahah funny

Swiss guiding...
Egi´s been skiing on K2 forever, done lot´s of adventures in his young and wild years (quote), been on El Cap in Yosemite, skied in Greenland, climbed almost every famous North face in the Alps and now spends his time showing clients the beauty of off-piste skiing and the mountains. They also run a climbing hut in the summer in the Wiwanni area.

Yesterday I went to the Hintertux Glacier with my friend Fabio Suder, his girlfriend Jeanny, and our badass photographer Christoph Schöch!
It was snowing a little bit the day before, so we were able to hit some pow!
