K2 NorCal Alliance Ski Day at Alpine Meadows

Gorgeous blue skies, a fresh layer of new snow, and an incredible group of women made for an amazing morning out at Alpine Meadows! Our group ripped up the fresh corduroy, then took it into trees & chutes & bowls for a high-energy tour around the mountain. What an inspiring sight to see everyone zipping down Palisades, Our Father & Keyhole...nice!!

Jeannie was our winner for "Best Dressed" in her pink pants, pink scarf & rhinestone K2 belt buckle! PINK was the color of the day to show support for breast cancer awareness, research & prevention.

Participants were asked to make a small donation to hold their spot for today's clinic. 100% of the donations will be sent to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Thanks again everyone for coming to share your enthusiasm for skiing AND your dollars in support of BCRF. Let's do it again soon!

Taos' Women's Weekend perfect for the Got Back
They came, it dumped and they shredded! Taos' K2 Women's Weekend participants skied fresh powder both Saturday and Sunday. While the Lotta Luv was a popular choice, conditions definitely called for the Got Back. After powder skiing all day Saturday, doing yoga and having a scrumptious dinner, the ladies woke to eight inches of fresh snow on Sunday which made for some great powder shots off Taos' Highline Ridge.
All in all the weekend was full of laughter and powder turns and we can't wait for next year.
More photos to come!
BMW Filmkooperation mit "Made in Austria pt. 2"

Sport Praxenthaler Touring Day + Show + Night Session
Sport Praxenthaler organized a Touring Test Day at Unternberg Ruhpolding (http://www.unternberg.de/), Germany. Lots of companies were there to get their stuff tested. Of course, Charlie and lots of K2 skis had to be there as well.
I was helping out with designing the jump, which went pretty good. The kicker was actually just planned for the Show, but as the kicker is pretty good and so much fun, we decided to have a night shooting session, and we plan to hit it again this week.
Big thanks to Wolfi, Günter and Dirk for their help and support, I'm sure it's not gonna be the last jump on the Unternberg slope!

Christine Hargin in the Alps Part 2
Last days in Engelberg I was recovering from the crashes, me and Matilda with our minor injuries!
Then we drove forward to see another place and meet up with my sister Janette and the last days of the trip were sunny and great. Janette is the best person to ski with at the moment since she's the leader of the Freeride World Tour at the moment and she always rocks!
We were skiing in Hochfugen in Austria, a really fun place with a lot of opportunity's. We were hiking and got some really good runs and some photos I think!
And of course some crashes, seems like I'm good at that...
In the end we drove back to Penzberg and the K2 office to leave the car back, god a really enjoyed driving around in the X1, big thanks to K2 and BWM.
Next goal for the season is the Nendaz Freeride in March. Now I will rest and do some work back home in Stockholm.
Christine

PK Hunder's Segment from K2 Skeeze The Movie
PK Hunder had a mind-blowing year last season and this segment is just a taste of what PK can do.
Traveling Skis: Stowe, Vermont, USA
Hosted by: AJ’s Ski & Sports Stowe, Vermont
The K2 Traveling Skis have made there way to the Green Mountains! Testers had the opportunity to ski both Mt. Mansfield and Jay Peak located in northern, Vermont. The weather was sunny, the Lotta Luvs shinned brightly and the girls had a blast! We skied the bumps, glades, groomers, crud and even death cookies. We danced with these skis through the frozen Vermont trees, hobblebush, evergreen swags and riverbeds we thought were frozen. Some of us even got a little air underneath our feet. AJ’s Ski and Sports in Stowe, Vermont hosted the Traveling Skis for a few nights, before making their final debut at Jay Peak. The dance went on for days and more signatures were added. All fingers crossed to win a pair!

Traveling Skis stops by Aspen East in Killington, VT!
The Traveling Skis made their way from Europe to Killington in time to be displayed for all to see at Aspen East’s (recent winner of Ski Magazine's gold metal award for the top shop in New England) 4th annual book signing event. The store welcomed sixty people throughout the evening to mingle by the fireplace, peruse the ski racks, view the traveling skis, and purchase a signed copy of Wendy Clinch’s novel, Double Black. (blogger for theskidiva.com). Be sure to check out the site for next year's signing! Traveling's Skis next stop: Stowe, VT!

The Crew of Aspen East!
K2 Monarch Mountain II
Monarch Mountain invited the K2 crew to check out their Cat Skiing operation, to carve some classic Colorado corderoy, and to session their all-wooden features at the K2 Organic Terrain Park. After days of ripping the high country beyond the resort, it was time team riders Anna Segal, Sean Decker, Shea Flynn, and Birk Irving lapped the park to shoot with infamous team photographer Alex O'Brien. To see the results, you'll have to wait until the images surface in magazines next year, but for a preview from a far less skilled photog, see below. Special thanks to the tireless Monarch Crew for hauling the team throughout the shoot, and for making sure the shoot was a success.
