Behind the Scenes at the Freeride World Tour of Skiing with Tom Leitner
This episode of Freeride Sessisions is centered around K2 athlete, Tom Leitner (GER), a season wildcard for 2012. Tom's innovative but risky style of skiing is always a pleasure to watch. You also get a few shots of the new Pettitor skis as Tom is hiking and skiing some gnarly lines.

K2 rider Tom Leitner at the FWT stop in Engadin
After my third place at the FWQ in La Clusaz I had the opportunity to compete in
St. Moritz for the FWT stop last weekend. I had been fortunate to get a wild
card for the event and tried my best not to disappoint. Even though conditions
were really good and it was a lot of fun riding the steep Corvatsch north face,
I could not stick my last cliff. It was close, but not enough this time.
Nevertheless, my first disappointment is weighed out by the fact that the
organizers decided to give me a wild card for the hole season in the FWT. I`m more than stoked on that and I want to thank my sponsor K2 Skis already
for giving me the opportunity to do the trip. I can`t wait to check out
California for the first time and to rock that comp together with good friends
and some of the best skiers around! See you there…"

X1 Live Tour, Poiana Brasov, Romania
Tom Leitner, Felix Wiemers and myself flew to Bucharest, Romania, last Thursday, in order to go to Poiana Brasov, where another BMW X1 Tour Stop took place. Felix and Tom where showing the tour guests some action on the kicker, that was a little bit different to what they are used to. When we arrived, we realised it would make more sense to jump it reverse, as the landing was steeper than the take off. That’s why we decided it would be best to let a X1 do the tow in.
